Development of Reengineering Methodologies for Australian SMEs
Project Title
Cost-Worth IMS Project
Grant Type
Intelligent Manufacturing Systems Program
Start Date
January 2003
Brief Project Description
The objective of the project is to develop a reengineering oriented methodology, applicable at any Industrial manufacturing SME, whatever the sector it belongs to, willing to improve its working procedures. This methodology, supported by relevant software tool, will be based on a coaching approach, so that any manager or manufacturer responsible will be capable of running it, at least partially, by his own.
The settlement of such objectives led the project promoters to identify and involve a number of entities from different countries, with demonstrated experience for improving working processes in industrial SMEs and with capabilities to contribute to the creation of a new concept, which would gather these partners experience. These partners had already demonstrated skills for implementing in software tools their working schemes.
