Brief Project Description
This research will assess Corporate Public Affairs Models and Practices in terms of their validity and effectiveness on Australian exporters and investors competing in Asia . It addresses the important problem facing Australian organisations that enter Asian markets with business models that are poorly aligned with the challenging and diverse public affairs environments. Several large Australian organisations have suffered financial and credibility loss. This research will advance the knowledge base by assessing models that will assist academics and practitioners to gain a high level understanding of what works, why and how it works in corporate public affairs.
The results of this research will provide a theoretical and practical understanding to Australian decision-makers on the contributions that effective corporate public affairs can make to Australian business organisations operating in Asia . Specifically it will assist Australian corporations to refine and implement international business strategies guided international best practice in corporate public affairs and external relations.

The study is currently commencing a literature review by examining the existing knowledge in the field of corporate public affairs theories and practices.
